Therapeutic plasma exchange for exogenous insulin antibody syndrome in combined variable immunodeficiency: a case report

Abstract A 32‐year‐old male with type I diabetes presented with profound hypoglycemia due to exogenous insulin antibody syndrome in the setting of newly‐diagnosed common variable immunodeficiency. Immunomodulatory therapy was not initially effective, but after the initiation of plasma exchange hypoglycemia resolved, and glucose lability improved.
