In mid-2022, Vimetco Extrusion commissioned a new 19-MN, 7-inch extrusion line for aluminium at its site in Slatina, Romania. The investment totalled around 10 million euros. With this investment, the company wants to further expand its market position in Germany and Europe and open up new markets. The new extrusion line increases Vimetco Extrusion's production capacity by 11,000 tonnes a year, bringing the total annual capacity to 35,000 tonnes. The press supports the company's strategy to further expand its production capacity for high value-added aluminium products in order to offer customers a comprehensive portfolio of tailor-made solutions.
