Autumn running days return

On October 3 the Amersham & District Motorbus Society staged its first running day in nearly two years. Just shy of 20 buses attended the event, centred on Chesham Broadway. Although most were RT, RF and Routemaster family vehicles from the London Transport era, the event also saw the first appearance in service for some time of one of the Plaxton Paramount 3200-bodied Leyland Tiger coaches delivered to London Country between 1982 and 1985 for use on Green Line services. The society hopes to hold its next event in Dorking on March 27. The London Bus Museum held its second running day of the year on October 9 with buses operating over roads covered at some stage by route 93 between Putney and Dorking.
