“So many patients....so little team”

Currently practices nationwide are finding it difficult to recruit new team members for a number of reasons. Retention issues due to remuneration levels and underutilisation of nursing skillsets are just two of the reasons nurses have cited as to whythey are seeking employment outside of practice and the profession. Covid-19 has been blamed for so many nurses leaving the profession but many would say the writing was already on the wall in 2018.
