New cost effective methods to increase size of navels for export markets: Increasing fruit size to meet export demands Application of GA in 'winter'

The aim was to apply gibberellic acid (GA) during bud development and expansion to produce more balanced foliage. Navels in 'on crop years' have a tendency to produce copious quantities of flowers 'white blossom', which tend, to produce large quantities of smaller fruit. To balance the foliage a mixture of shoot types from all floral to all vegetative is required.
