CONOCOPHILLIPS is evaluating bids from engineering houses in Malaysia for a services agreement that could potentially include work on the Salam-Pat-awali oil discoveries offshore Sarawak. The US operator received offers from engineering companies in January for a master services engineering agreement, according to Kuala Lumpur-based sources. High-profile offshore engineering houses in Malaysia include Aker Solutions, Genesis Energies, MMC Oil & Gas, Ranhill Worley, RNZ, Saipem, TechnipFMC, Xodus and Wood, but it could not be confirmed which of them are competing for the ConocoPhillips opportunity.
