摘要

In this article, the glass/banana hybrid composite has been analyzed to measure the mechanical, water absorption and structural (deflection and natural frequency) characteristics, experimentally. First of all, five different sets of hybrid laminated composites are fabricated using the hand layup method. Further, the test specimens are prepared as per ASTM standards. The mechanical characteristics are examined via a tensile test. Water absorption behavior is investigated by soaking composite samples in distilled water and calculating the percentage of water gain. The vibration and bending responses are obtained via appropriate test setup for composite beam samples. Further, the experimental responses obtained from the above test are analyzed and discussed in detail.
