A-Cap Resources Ltd - the company which defined Botswana's first and only uranium resource - has identified two new coal projects and transformed into a diversified explorer.Last year the company discovered the Mea and Bolau prospects while searching for uranium. Good quality coal intercepts were encountered and as luck would have it, when A-Cap went to amend the prospecting licenses it held to include coal, the Botswana Government issued its moratorium on all new coal applications.Now with tenure amended and approved, A-Cap intends to carry out a drill campaign which will delineate a coal resource in the next 12-18 months.Chief executive Paul Thomson told Paydirt that despite the excitement around the strategic exposure to coal, the company's Leth-lakane uranium project would not be pushed aside and feasibility studies would still go ahead.
