Crude oil futures settled higher Jan. 13 as the market outlook strengthened amid signs of easing US inflation and improving Chinese energy demand. NYMEX February WTI settled $1.47/b higher at $79.86/b and ICE March Brent climbed $1.25/b to $85.28/b.
