The cessation of routine dental care in 2020 in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented levels of pressure across dental services in the UK.1 Two years later, as the dental profession attempts to stabilise itself, paediatric dentistry continues to be an unfortunate victim of the post-pandemic burden of untreated dental disease.
