Ghana promotes enterprise economy

Minerals Commission of Ghana director JY Aboagye told the Africa Downunder Conference the Government of Ghana had a policy to promote the involvement of foreign private investment in its economy. He said to achieve this, the Government aimed to provide favourable conditions for investment as well as policy initiatives including the new Minerals and Mining Act of 2006. "This was to promote investment in the mining sector through attractive minerals and mining policy," Aboagye said.
