摘要

Damping performances of porous metals are generally measured by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) method which has strictly dimensional requirements on specimens especially on their thickness. In this work, based on sinusoidal excitation and Fourier transform, a new set of test equipment suitable for evaluating damping performances of large-scale porous metals was constructed. On this basis, the influence of local compression deformation on the damping performances of the newly developed integrated-forming aluminum foam sandwich (IFAFS) was investigated by means of single-point excitation method. Damping performances of different regions were obtained through partition measurement and the reasons were discussed which are beneficial to evaluate damping performances of IFAFS after local deformation.
