Ghana fan builds a gold castle

Perth gold explorer Castle Minerals Ltd is putting all its golden eggs in one basket. With more than 10,000sq km of ground, it is currently the biggest landholder in Ghana. That is no mean feat given the surge of interest from explorers in the country, who in a few years have all but tied up the greenstone belts. But Castle has not gone for quantity over quality, despite a workload currently divided between 10 different projects. Castle chief executive Michael Ivey said the company had four geologists in Ghana who pegged ground whenever they identified unexplored patches of historic greenstone belts.
