When Highfield Resources Ltd began looking for assets to add to its Western Australian potash portfolio, the strategy was a simple one: find something that has a genuine chance of being brought into production. That may sound like a rather obvious plan but according to Highfield managing director Anthony Hall, it is not one that all companies stick to. "Since we listed (on February 12, 2012) we have had various companies approach us with potash assets," Hall told Paydirt. "However, you get offered a lot of things that look great in the lap but then struggle to get past that. We have cast an eye over a lot of potash projects but most of them will struggle to get into production."
