Portable wash unit speeds clean-ups

DUMP trucks, face shovels, drill rigs and other big mobile plant can be cleaned up much faster than before with a new purpose-built washdown unit developed by Australian Pump Industries (API). The company claims its Aussie Muck-off (AMO) portable machinery wash unit can deliver "super high flows" of up to 125 litres per minute with pressures to 580psi for a unique wash and flush cleaning system."The AMO provides sufficient water to not only cut mud and clay off wheels, undercarriage and tracks, but to also flush the waste away," said machine designer Fred Fouracre, from API. "The high-flow machine, compared to equivalent horsepower conventional pressure washers, cleans up to five times faster."
