I-2-Catalyzed Tandem Annulation of Ketene Dithioacetals with Sulfonyl Hydrazides for the Synthesis of N-Aminosulfonamides

An iodine-catalyzed tandem annulation of ketene dithioacetals with sulfonyl hydrazides is established, which gives the N-aminosulfonamides with pyrazole side chain in moderate yields. A series of aryl, heteroaryl, and alkyl substituted sulfonyl hydrazides are compatible with this reaction.
