Thrash it out, says Friedland

Robert Friedland always attracts a large audience when he steps up to speak and at this year's Indaba he once again provided some sweeping views on the world, exploration and Africa in a 40-minute keynote address. The Ivanhoe Mines,Ltd founder and chief executive also called for responsible leadership from mining companies, labour unions and the South African Government to calm labour unrest in the platinum sector. Basically, he would like to see them thrash out their differences to bolster the future of the mining industry in the country.
