Environmentalists want a broader FERC review of Cameron LNG amendment

Environmental groups are urging the Federal Energy RegulatoryCommission to conduct a more expansive review of amendmentsto a Cameron LNG expansion project, after FERC staff Dec.2 found the proposed changes would not constitute a majorfederal action significantly affecting the environment.The comments, from Healthy Gulf and Sierra Club Jan. 3,come amid a tug-of-war affecting several LNG project proposalsover the scope of the environmental reviews needed under theNational Environmental Policy Act.
