Laparoscopic urology is the latest addition to the urologist's minimally invasive skills. Early experience suggests that paediatric laparoscopic urological surgery is feasible and safe. Its benefits, however, are not yet confirmed. Further experience is clearly needed to define the role of laparoscopy in the management of paediatric urology.
