Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plans to invest$2 million to $7 million to update each of about 200 travelcenters over the next five years in its "Strategic RemodelInitiative," the company said in a news release.The company also intends to open 25 new travel centersthis year, overall investing more than $1 billion in new andremodeled locations in 2023.Love’s has added its first turnpike locations with thepurchase of 22 EZ GO sites from Oklahoma-based CareyJohnson Oil Co., the company said Wednesday. The travelstops – six on Oklahoma turnpikes and five on the Kansasturnpike – will be rebranded to Love’s within a year. Theother 11 sites are convenience stores in Oklahoma andNebraska. The transaction terms were undisclosed.
