Chinese mining frm Inner Mongolia Dazhong aims to develop a low carbon lithium-ion battery industrial park with a number of production facilities for lithium resources, battery cathode and anode materials that are used in electric vehicles (EVs). The frm plans to invest a total of 20bn yuan ($2.8bn) in developing the production complex. It signed an initial agree-ment with the local authorities of Chifeng in north China’s Inner Mongolia region on 22 November. Investment partners include multi-sector enterprise group Guocheng Holdings, battery materials manufacturer Shanghai Jinyuansheng New Energy Material and investment frm Jingcheng New Energy.
