Coal exports from Colombia’s largest producer Drummond fell on the year in September due to sluggish demand amid disrup- tion caused by Covid-19. Drummond shipped 2.2mn metric tonnes in September, down by 22.1pc on the year but 77,000t higher than in August, according to company figures. The firm exported 22.2mn t in January-September, down by 5.1pc on the year. At the January-September pace of 2.5mn t/month, Drum- mond is on course to export 29.5mn t in 2020, which would be down from the 31.1mn t it exported in 2019, a figure the miner was aiming to repeat this year.
