Seed potato growers in Minnesota applied to certify 5,685.75 acres for the 2021 crop year, a decrease from 6,267.41 acres in crop year 2020. There were 52.25 acres rejected for severe mosaic varietal mix, and not meeting eligibility, resulting in 5,633.50 certified acres. Russet Burbank was the variety with the most acres planted.
