摘要

Non-toxic, cost-effective, abundant adsorption materials are currently under examination as potential alternatives to the activated carbons for the capture of organic micropollutants from wastewater. While organic-based adsorbents demonstrate a high adsorption rate, they suffer from difficulty in large-scale applications due to poor stability under extreme environment. Hexagonal boron nitride, a cost-effective, safe, sustainable inorganic product was obtained via the simple reaction of cheap precursors. Here we prepared a high-surface-area of hierarchically porous boron nitride nanoribbon (HPBNN). Experiment results illustrated that all the adsorption performance of HPBNN was comparable or even better than that of state-of-the-art adsorbents.
