THE US Gulf of Mexico is clearly a good place to be, judging by the number of major companies to have extolled its virtues in the past weeks. The leading operators in the US Gulf - BP, Shell and Chevron -are well versed in the region's opportunities and - along with others such as Murphy Oil, Talos Energy and Woodside - have provided reminders of its production growth potential, while serving notice that there is significant reward to be had from an exploration perspective.
