Purple Innovation receives takeover bid from its largest investor

Lehi, Utah - Coliseum Capital Management made an unsolicited offer for mattress maker Purple Innovation. Coliseum is already Purple's largest investor, owning 45% of its shares. It offered to pay $4.35/share. This represents a 56% premium on Purple's closing price the previous day. Its share price shot up by a third in response.
