Direct military involvement of the US, France, UK, or China in the Ukraine confict would terminate war risk insurance coverage for ships, according to the Standard Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Club. “Members are reminded that both primary and excess war risk covers contain provisions whereby cover will terminate automatically upon the outbreak of war (whether there be a declaration of war or not) between any one of the so-called fve powers,” said the club, which listed those powers as Rus- sia, US, UK, France and China.
