The NSW mining industry has voiced its concern at state government plans to stop new coal seam gas production.The NSW Minerals Council said it was alarmed by the governments draft strategic regional land use plans for the Upper Hunter Valley and nearby areas.They have warned that the plans will severely damage the regions economy."Mining jobs in the Hunter will bear the brunt of a slowdown to the states biggest export industry," NSWMC chief executive officer Stephen Galilee warned.
