Brazil’s green petroleum coke imports jumped to a record high in May, as the country partially absorbed an increase in cargo availability on the US Gulf coast. Green coke imports rose by 81pc on the year in May to 567,900t, the highest level in Global Trade Tracker (GTT) data going back to 2002. This was also more than quadruple the amount imported in May 2020.
