DESPITE Dyno Nobel making a good contribution to its new owner Incitec Pivots bottom line, its Moranbah ammonium nitrate plant is again under the gun. The 330-million-tonne-per-annum AN plant has had an on-again, off-again development process to date. Incitec announced in February it had decided to slow construction of the facility. Its decision was based on the revised forecast for AN demand growth in Queensland coal. Incitec Pivot managing director Julian Segal said the company remained confident about the project and the benefits it would bring.
