Codelco has settled a 2021 copper cathode contract with a South Korean buyer at a $83 /t premium, representing a rollover from this year, according to media reports. The buyer – reportedly a cable manufacturer – agreed to take over 50,000 t of copper cathodes from the Chilean producer.
