Momentive to open new PU additives plant in southern Italy

Termoli, Italy - The performance materials group of Momentive has opened a new manufacturing plant at its facility in Termoli on Italy's Adriatic coast. The plant will produce PU additives for bedding, furniture, automotive and insulation applications under the Slabstock and Rigid Niax brands. The new plant will focus on what the company describes as solutions for a more sustainable world: performance additives for insulation foams used in construction and the appliances sector, for bed-in-a-box products that optimise transport volume, and low emission catalysts for mattress and car seat foam.
