For years the rains had not come. The creeks hardly ran In the winter and never in the summer. Then one day the gods smiled and down it came. It rained that much it was impossible to work the creeks as the water was too high and far too cold. Above the waterline there was no gold to be had so it was back to the detector when it wasn't raining too heavily. The parks and beaches got a hammering. A lot of coins were found, mainly decimal unfortunately, but it was petrol money or in my case, diesel money.
