FDS POLICY ACTIVITY FDS calls for stronger public health and workforce measures in the Health and Care Bill The Faculty is following the progress of the Health and Care Bill as it features several provisions focused on improving public health. It will grant the Health Secretary new powers to implement community water fluoridation schemes, and introduces additional restrictions around junk food advertising on TV and online.The Faculty is supportive of these measures as they would have an important impact on tackling child tooth decay, which remains the leading cause of hospitalisations for 5-9-year-old children.
