China’s high-sulphur coke demand was muted this week on more competitive domestic coke and drops in the Chinese yuan’s value against the US dollar. Domestic buyers’ indications for high-sulphur coke were mainly at $100-110/t cfr, far below offers. At least one trader received an index-linked offer, but this offer was too high for the trader to make any “meaningful bid”.
