Russia pulled ahead of Saudi Arabia and Iraq to become India's top crude oil supplier in October as the South Asian giant continued to take advantage of the big discounts that Russian sellers have been offering since Moscow sent its troops into Ukraine. Two orms that track international shipments of crude oil both put India's October imports from Russia at more than 900,000 barrels per day. And gains for Russia and Iraq seem to have come largely at the expense of their Opec-plus ally Saudi Arabia.
