Welcome to the September 2021 issue of Global Gypsum Magazine-the world's leading print and digital gypsum resource.As well as the latest gypsum sector news,this issue contains a look at several'other' by-product gypsums,i.e.not flue-gas desulphurisation(FGD)gypsum,including phosphogypsum,titanogypsum,fluorogypsum and citrogypsum,with Ferro Duo's Terry Walsh(Page 14).Over the years,many representatives from the sector have presented the potential of several of these,both in these pages and at various editions of the Global Gypsum Conference around the world.However,Ferro Duo's project is one of the first that seems to have industrial'legs,' with big plans to dry and market large quantities of by-product gypsum across various regions and industries.Its plans even include the potential for a captive wallboard plant to make use of this'new' source.We look forward to presenting more details of its partnership in due course.
