THE INTERNATIONAL FLUID Power Society annual meeting takes place Oct. 5-7 at the Whitney Peak Hotel in Reno, Nevada, with a pre-meeting technical workshop scheduled for Oct. 4. The workshop, Understanding and Calculating Heat Loss for Various Types of Circuits, is presented by Ernie Parker, CFPAI, CFPE, of Hydra Tech Inc. Parker explores how to calculate heat loss for various circuits such as meter in, meter out, bleed off, pressure compensated, load sensing, flow controls, counterbalance, closed loop hydrostatic, line sizing, and standby systems. Participants learn how to use proper placement of components to make the most efficient circuits and systems without adding cost.
