摘要

This present study focused on the preparation of rubber nanocomposites as its unique characteristics has seen it become a global trend. This type of composite is usually a mixture of fillers and a rubber matrix in which at least one dimension of the fillers is in nanoscales [1-3]. Rubber nanocomposites have been used to prepare various types of nanofil-lers. Of these nanofillers, halloysite nanotubes (HNT) are an interesting filler that is widely used to reinforce many types of rubbers due to its superior aspect ratios [4]. As the surface chemistry of HNT is similar to clay, it is incompatible with non-polar rubbers; such as natural rubber (NR).
