Iraq’s crude capacity plans await budget boost

Opec’s second-largest producer Iraq has finally passed a federal budget promising record public spending in 2023-25 to help improve ageing infrastructure and services. Higher state spending could also help the country to address its longerterm crude capacity growth aspirations, if funding feeds through to the oil sector.
