From Land Mine Detector to Gold Detector

The IVIinelab F1A4 detector was produced in the 1990s and supplied around the world as a land mine detector unit. These units could detect the metal firing pin inside a land mine in just about all types of ground however new generation mines don't have metal firing pins and this now makes the F1A4 only useful for clearing old land mine fields. The Australian army used this detector in Afghanistan but because our troops are coming home, a lot of surplus army equipment is being sold through the Mannaheims auction site.
