The December 2021 issue brought back some memories of two of the featured cars. First was the 1960 Dodge Dart Seneca wagon which my grandparents owned, with the 318 V-8 and pushbutton TorqueFlite. One day in the mid 1960s they pulled up to our house with bicycles strapped to the luggage rack for me and my three younger brothers. And it wasn't even Christmas. At that young age I was a confirmed car nut and made a dashboard out of cardboard and colored paper, full of gauges and even power window switches, that was mounted onto the handlebars. The other car was a 1971 AMC Javelin my best friend in high school purchased as his graduation present. He wanted a car that no one else had and we found it at the Kalispell, Montana, AMC dealer where it was displayed on their little showroom floor. It was a beautiful deep green color with a 304 V-8 and floor-shift automatic.
