FSANZ proposes a new dairy standard

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) has proposed developing a new primary production and processing standard for dairy products. Annika Forss from law firm, Blake Dawson Waldron, discusses the key issues the proposal raises, the matters on which comments are being sought and the requirements for making a submission. The proposal is based on a recommendation from a Federal Government report that there be a national 'paddock-to-plate' approach to food regulation to protect public health and safety.
