Developing sustainable packaging systems

摘要

The following is an edited version of a paper about sustainable packaging systems presented at the Foods for Life Conference in Melbourne during August 2003. The paper was prepared jointly by Professor Kees Sonneveld, the head of the Polymer and Plastics Research Unit at Victoria University, Dr Leanne Fitzpatrick and Dr Ross Nicol from Birubi Innovation, and Helen Lewis, the director of the Centre of Design at RMIT University. The packaging supply chain is today faced with acknowledging, understanding, addressing and managing a range of issues affecting the sustainable use of packaging.
