MURRAY Dairy with support from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry delivered four workshops earlier this year focusing on lameness and track maintenance using Dairy Australia's Lameness Kit for Dairy Farmers. Dr Karl Burgi, hoof health consultant from Wisconsin, United States, presented some background theory to good hoof care to reduce the incidence of lameness with a practical demonstration from Bolton's Hoof Trimming.
