In early August, Sagittarius Mines Inc., which is fully owned by Filipino company Indophil Resources, announced it intends to commence construction of its Tampakan copper-gold project in Mindanao, the Philippines, later this year. This follows a settlement being reached with local authorities over taxes and fees, allowing a business permit to be issued. Early works, including land acquisition and work on access roads, has commenced.
