MG Nutritionals, a subsidiary of Murray Goulburn Co-operative, has released a new line of nutritional products that promise to maximise the physical performance and health of elite athletes. To shift from supplying ingredients to manufacturing high-value functional consumer products, Murray Goulburn has had to invest heavily in research and development, said MG Nutritionals' general manager Peter Hobman. "Having sold ingredients into the sports nutrition market in the US for many years, we decided to set up our own marketing structure to utilise these ingredients as final products to capture more of the upstream value of the components," he said.
