The Fonterra media service has been usually quiet of late. In March and April it issued only three media releases covering two topics, writes Australian Dairy Foods' New Zealand correspondent, Birger Nordmark. The media release on April 12 told of another resignation among the top executives. John Shaskey was, as reported in the last issue of this column, appointed managing director of the reformed, big trading arm Fonterra Global Trade. A few weeks later he decided to leave at the end of June and no explanation was given for that decision. A search for his replacement was initiated right away.
