Western Australia's dairy processing personnel gathered at the Broadwater hotel and resort in Busselton during March for the TNT Pallecon DIAA WA Dairy Conference. The packed program covered change and supply chain management, the exploration of intestinal space, finding sexy sperm, the National Food Strategy and even the weather. As past research director of the Australian Ingredient Centre, Paul Ford is a well-known figure within the Australian dairy sector. In his new role as general manager - innovation with the National Food Industry Strategy (NFIS) he controls around 50 million dollar of funds earmarked to assist innovative food industry developments. At the WA conference, he outlined how companies might get a piece of the action.
