Fonterra's chief executive, Craig Norgate, shared his thoughts on the global dairy industry at Congrilait, the recent International Dairy Federation (IDF) conference in Paris. New Zealand's dairy industry was 'internationalised' from day one. The first shipment of frozen dairy products from NZ to Europe in 1882 began what has now become a trade network around the world. And with 95 percent of our production exported, no one has a bigger stake in international dairy trade than NZ's dairy farmers.
